But it is really unfortunate that almost none have shown the courage to stage
this play. Critics, as well as theatre directors, have often termed the play as ‘sentimental’
overlooking the metaphorical aspect of the play. Although the play
constitutes the primary theme of death, it is also extremely crucial to delve
deep into the multi-diasporic nature of the play in which it talks of dreaming;
dreaming as the pivotal tool for every individual to live. The protagonist of the play, like all of us,
in spite of knowing that his dreams are miles away from achieving reality, never
refrains from dreaming.
