Bireshwar
The play “Bireshwar” was staged in 2013 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary. The play starts with Sister Nivedita’s arrival in India in the year 1898 and how pioneers like Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore and Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose join hands with her to improve the then scenario of India. The play also tries to focus on the personal Vivekananda and smashes the prevalent notion of Vivekananda’s association with religion.
